Happiness

What is happiness?
Many people I've met are in search of their own definitions of the word.
For me, simplifying your life is the best way to live a happy life. I came to this conclusion as I reflected on my childhood years and compared it with my recent years.
Life it's simple when you're a kid. Life was happy and great as well. But as we get older it's not as simple anymore and we start to lose our sense of fulfillment and happiness.
Also joy and happiness have an inverse relationship with doubt and uncertainty in the future. So stop worrying about the future, try your best to find a plan or solution and believe that things will work out.
You'll find yourself happier and smiling more.

valentine's day and attraction

I just finished watching a very peculiar video.
Don't judge me!

I stumbled upon a physics video explaining the fundamental attraction between objects in this universe. Being a physics video they were obviously talking about the four fundamental forces, gravity, electromagnetism, weak and strong forces.
One interesting thing was mentioned and this tied in very well with a class discussion between a penpal and I (yes... I have a penpal, she's Japanese and I'm learning Japanese right now while she's learning English, it's a language exchange program! Oh that's also why I've been busy and not posting... Free time is now usually spent on badminton and studying Japanese)... ANYWAYS, we were talking about attraction or love.
My point of view is that people are often attracted to one another purely by superficials at first. As time goes on, they will learn more about each other and start to develop a bond and love.
SCIENCE PROVES THIS TOO!!
Attraction between two objects (whether gravitational or electrostatic or LOVE) takes time to develop.
It is thought that in the beginning attraction between two objects happen instantaneously. Later it was discovered that one object must propagate a "field" towards the other object in order for the two to become attracted.
Then we came about to conclude that this propagation of the "attraction field" cannot happen instantaneously because the field can only move as fast as the speed of light (universal speed).
Therefore, as one object propagates its "field of attraction" to the other, there is a delay before both objects experience the attraction.

Science disproves the idea of love at first sight, which I don't believe in. Love must be developed through time. So in the past I would always say it isn't love at first sight, but rather attraction at first sight (I knew this intuitively even before I saw this video! I'm brilliant!).
Light, being a form of electromagnetic radiation, moves at the speed of light. So developing an attraction can happen at first sight (see above for explanation).

But the important thing is, things that are intended to last a long time usually takes time to develop and grow. So if you're looking for love, don't move at the speed of light!

Cheers and have a happy valentine's day
